Anderson County EMS celebration and Community CPR classes

We wanted to take the opportunity to inform each of you about two
upcoming events for the ambulance service.

On May 15th from 10am till 2pm we are having an EMS celebration to
kick off National EMS week. We are partnering with the county first
responder agencies to have a fun day where residents can come and see
each department and test their skills on sinking some of us in a dunk
tank among other activities. On this same day the ambulance service
will be also having a multiple casualty disaster exercise adjacent to
the EMS celebration. Both will be held here at our main garage in
Clinton, and we will be using part of the Second Baptist Church's
parking lot for the exercise. Senator McNally will be presenting a
resolution that he brought to the State's Senate recognizing the
ambulance service's longevity and dedicated service. The Senator will
be here around 10am to present this resolution to us.

Also on June 5th, the Mayor and Anderson County EMS will be having its
first free community CPR class in Claxton. That class will start at
10 am and we are working on arrangements to have that class at the
Claxton Elementary school. This class is free to Anderson County
residents, in which we will be teaching our residents how to perform
CPR, and recognize strokes and heart attacks. This is a tremendous
event that we and the Mayor are excited to launch. We will be doing 6
such classes every year, going into the various communities.

Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions in regards to either
event.

Thank you,

Nathan Sweet, EMTP
