The Members of Andersonville Volunteer Fire Department would like to bring to your attention several new laws that would have substantial effect on your local Fire Service, if these bills are passed into law.The first of these is:

Firefighters - Requires full-time, part-time, or volunteer firefighters hired or accepted on or after July 1, 2007, to meet certain minimum training requirements. - Amends TCA Title 4, Chapter 24, Part 1.

Employees, Employers - Gives volunteer firefighters who work all night fighting a fire or who are on call to take the following day off from work as a vacation day or sick leave day without loss of pay in certain circumstances. - Amends TCA Title 50, Chapter 1.
